"Hey (f/n), don't you ever wish you could touch the stars?"

"I guess so…"

"Alright then! One day you and I are going to be there!"

"Errr Alfie, I don't think that's possible."

"Nonsense! Anything for the super hero's girl!"

*age: 17*

"Of course he would say something like that…" you were lying down on the grass in your backyard, looking up at the pitch black sky.

Alfred F. Jones, your best friend since you were babies. He was always one to carelessly say his affections.

"He was always one for those hero antics…" you sigh and look at your watch.

'11:55, he's late.'

You sigh and choose to keep looking up at the sky…

"How nice, the stars are beginning to show up… there's Orion and Taurus…" you begin to tell yourself as the constellations begin to show.

"Oh Orion…" you say sadly.

"You know what (f/n); I'm going to be the best!"

"Always the best, but always late." And you begin to chuckle.

"Hey! You don't need to be like that (f/n)!" you suddenly hear a familiar voice shout.

"You're getting a bit too touchy Alfred!" you tell him while trying to pull him off, but he laughs and hugs you even tighter.

"You're a bit ignorant aren't you (f/n)?" he whispers in your ear.

"I-Ignorant?! You're the one that forgets a big event like this!!" you retort while crossing your arms.

"That's really mean of you (f/n)… not letting me off the hook after I showed up…" he continues to whisper.

"W-Well that's what you get!" you say, beginning to blush at how close he is.

"But still, you're an ignorant little teenager (f/n)…" the American male begins to trail off. And he makes you face him clearly, eye to eye.

"Don't you get it (f/n)?" and he places his forehead onto yours.

"Get what?" you ask him in complete confusion. He looks at you with strangely soft eyes and smirks at your confusion.

"Don't you get that I've liked you ever since?" and he proceeds to kiss your cheek and of course, you do blush.

"Re-"you say but were cut off with a kiss.

"You're really ignorant (f/n)…" Alfred says once he pulls away from the kiss.

"Am I really?" you ask him and he smiles largely while nodding his head.

"You didn't notice any of those hints I dropped and also those notes!" the blonde begins to complain.

"Wait, you sent those?!" you yell at him.

"Well duh! Wasn't it obvious?" he asks you joyfully.

"No, it wasn't. I thought I had a stalker." you answer seriously with a serious face.

"Oh… then remember what it said? The one with stars?" he asks you quickly and grabs your shoulders.

"The one with… stars?" and you think about the notes you received throughout the school year.

"Oh! That one?" you ask him seriously once again.

"I'm not lying (f/n). It will just be you and me..." he says, still holding your shoulders.

'Oh Alfred… I'm so ignorant. After all those people I've already dated, you were always there for me…'

"Hmmm, I'm really ignorant after all." And you pull him into a kiss.

'How cliché… he just confessed his feelings under a meteor shower. And here I am, also confessing the feelings I never knew I had.'

(f/n), I remember how you would always obsess about stars. Hmm, I guess one day I would really confess to you but I think I'm being such a coward. Just writing these letters and all.
One day, you'll notice that those guys that you date aren't going to be the one to be there and touch the stars with you. One day, it'll just be me and you under those same stars. That you'll finally understand who I am to you and who you are to me… but it would be really nice if it happened sooner.
